      Excellent question! First of all, I would say that most things have the potential to diminish people’s quality of life if they are not done in the right way. In the UK, fracking is very closely monitored and controlled by the government. Any company that wants to frack has to follow strict rules and regulations about its health, safety and environmental impacts. This is to make sure that if fracking happens, it doesn’t diminish people’s lives.

      I think the bigger issue with this is that the product from fracking is natural gas, so it’s still a fossil fuel. It’s better than other types of fossil fuels for the environment, but it’s not a permanent solution to global warming. I think we should be careful of fracking – and only do it if we really need the fuel. We should also be focusing on developing renewable energy.
