• Question: how hard is your job?

      It’s hard because some of the technical details can get complicated, but the good thing about it is that you don’t have to do it alone. I work as part of a team, so if I get stuck with something I can ask other people for help. Also it feels really good when I finally solve a problem, so I would rather do something challenging than an easy job!

      It’s tough and can mean long hours…but it’s worth it. I think it is like anything in life if you work hard it is very rewarding. Like training with a sports team: all the long hours are worth it when your team is successful. We don’t compete in the same way in engineering, but it is very satisfying when your clever engineering solution works – you also get to play with a lot of fun toys 🙂

      My research involves finding answers to questions that other people didn’t realise need answering. That is quite difficult!
