I have an Intel (R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz, 3.09 GHz, 2.16 GB of RAM – does that make any sense to you? It doesn’t to me! I have a few Apples (an Orchard if you like)

I’ve got an HP EliteBook 2560p, the processor is Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-2540M CPU @ 2.60GHz… like Tadhg, I don’t know what that means.

Erm, it’s a Dell work issue laptop that’s 2 years old with a dicky G key. It’s not quite as fast as the desktops but it seems to handle 3D models OK. As I work flexibly from home or on trains when travelling, portability is more important to me. I also use an iPad (3 years old) to organise my work notes as I work on so many projects that using paper notebooks didn’t really work for me and my poor memory.

I always choose the cheapest laptop I can buy. I then use it to connect to the biggest supercomputers on the planet. The biggest one I have access to has more than 3 million cores. It is in China.
